Who's Lee Boozer

Born and raised in South Carolina,  I attended Clemson University where I studied Biochemistry. I had to take a computer programming course, and found I had a knack for it. Soon after, I changed my major to Computer Science (with a minor in chemistry). My first program was written in FORTRAN on punched cards, if you can believe that.

I've been working as a software developer since 1987.  I currently work at Sterling Talent Solutions doing ASP.Net MVC with C#, Javascript with KnockoutJS, Bootstrap, etc...

During the course of my career I've worked on:

  • IBM mainframes - COBOL, TSO, JCL, ISPF, all on green screens...now that's old school

  • Client server - I got into Powerbuilder when it was version 2, and ended up spending the better part of a decade developing Powerbuilder applications for various sized corporations, mostly as a consultant. I learned about relational database technology along the way - SQL (especially SQL Server), stored procedures, triggers, data normalization. I also did Winforms apps for a few years, as well as a WPF app.

  • Web - I've done web development using classic ASP, ASP.Net, ASP.Net MVC, WebAPI, Bootstrap, Ajax, Typescript, AngularJS, Knockout and Angular 2+.

  • Outside of work I've got a wonderful wife and two great kids who keep me quite busy, and often entertained to boot.
